Yea my buddy was telling me that solvent can mess up "night sites" if you got it on them. I think now that I read above about the solvent loosing up the glue, that seems to make more sense. So getting solvent on the actual sites wont screw them up right? I can clean them up with solvent with no problems?

I've used Williams Firesights on my IDPA XD for over a year now, no problems. The gun has been drawn and holstered many, many times. And you should have a flashlight, never shoot something you can't see. It will just be easier to see sights with Truglos, FO sights work best with light from above.

It depends on which flashlight technique you use. Some would work better than others.

One more question... Did you have to get used to your TFOs?

I shot 10 rounds through my friend's XD9 with TFOs yesterday and didn't do as well as I do with my own XD9 with factory sights. Just from a quick test drive, the TFO dots seem rather large compared to the factory white dots. And because they are bright, the edges of the dots didn't seem as crisp as non-glowing white dots. I'm not sure I want them now.

Any thoughts?
