Shoulder Rigs
I've been looking for a shoulder holster setup in leather for when it's a little cooler and i can wear a jacket. However, does anyone know anyone that makes one that involves two holsters instead of a holster and a mag pouch on the opposite side?

Many of the ones that come w/ the mag holder on the opposite side can hold a 2nd holster - U usually have to buy this seperately. U could buy the shoulder straps and 2 holsters seperately (Galco). Don't know who actually sells a rig like that w/ 2 already, though.

I believe that Galco will provide such a rig.
It only involves hanging a left and right hand holster onto the crossover shoulder harness. Instead of using the mag carrier, it is replaced with a holster. Might be rather expensive for some. My opinion, shoulder holsters look cool and functional, but they are heavy, hurt one's shoulder(s) during the day, and can be picked up as a CC device really easy. Have no idea what you want to CC, but the New York duece for .38s would be much more suitable for long haul carries. Ed |

this wouldn't be a permanent carry, as i am aware it would be stressful on the shoulders. I just wondered since i hadn't seen any dual shoulder rigs. The heat down here makes it bearable for a shoulder rig to be worn probably two months out of the year, sans formal occasions where i would be wearing a coat. Florida heat kills, and IWB will be mostly how i carry concealed.

You can wear a shoulder system comfortably all day if it's good quality. The real good ones have shoulder straps that go wide at the point over the shoulders. With the right clothes they are no more visible than a standard IWB. The men's wearhouse here in Reno custom tailors my jackets to fit with my holster on so they fall perfectly.
