Truglo TFO sights

I've been lookin at the Truglo TFO sights and i was wondering if they would affect drawing from the holster(ie snags, difficulty in reholstering, etc) Anyone have them that can elaborate on them?

All corners are rounded over, to reduce the chance of getting caught on cloth. The have no affect on holsters, as they are pretty low in profile.

Does this help?

Most of the better Kydex holsters (CompTac for example) have a channel built into the holster to protect the front sight from contact with the holster.

The TruGlo TFO should not even touch the holster if you buy a good one.

BTW, Pistol Gear is supposed to stock the TFO with a green front fiber and yellow rear sight fibers so that some contrast will be provided between the sights. That helps me in acquiring a sight picture as quickly as I can. You might consider ordering this setup.

Sounds like a good set up. Need to get rid of my factory sights.

The sights are very nice. I have had them on my XD9 for over 2 years, if memory serves, and have shot competitions with them on and taken a lot of classes with them on. Having drawn my XD9 from the holster hundreds of time or more I can tell you that they definitely do not snag on any holster I have used. I have tried it on multiple kydex and leather holsters. inside and outside the waist band. never was it the sights that caused any issues.

I was worried about this also. I carry them on my XD40sc daily in a Tucker "Answer" IWB
and have never had a issue with them hanging up on anything. The holster provides plenty of clearance
around the sights as should any decently constructed holster.
The sights are longer due to the fiber but not much taller than stock
.062" taller are what mine measure (.186" stock/ .248" Tritium TFO installed)

Try them out, I just bought another set from Old School and plan to have them installed on my XD-45 service
sometime this week.

I heard they are fragile. Is that true? Can you replace them your self or do you need the gunsmith to do it? thanks

The Xd front sight can be a real bear to get off .I would reccomend a smith.
I preffer the all green the yellow just doesn't catch the eye as well I have had a set of both.
I did have to reshape my crossbreed a little for more clearance with my sub but not the service.
