Holsters .40 V .45
I currently carry a .40 Tactical, if I were to aquire a .45, will it fit in all my holsters that I have for the .40? couple of blade-techs, a serpa and a couple fitted leather ones.....basically, are the 2 pistols the same size?

The .45 will fit in the majority of holsters made for the xd, but not all.

When I got my Blade-Tech, I noticed that the XD block on the order card had been checked. When i tried my .45, sure enough, the thumbstrap wouldn't snap. My XD-9 fit perfectly. A quick examination found two phillips-head screws holding on the strap on the inside (closest to your body) of the holster.
A slight adjustment to lengthen the thumbstrap and all is now well. Of course, the strap is now only held by one screw, but it works just fine.

i belive the 45acp is just a few mm longer and like very little wider. with leather you can do the boil method and make it fit the 45 if its to snug. i've done this before for a pt140 i had when only holsters for the pt111 was available.

The XD45ACP should fit most holsters made for the XD9/40 without issue, unless that holster has a thumb-break/strap.

The G-Code Kydex holster I ordered is labeled XD-40 and fits fine. I did have to loosen the tension screw a turn or two.
