XS 24/7 night sights Anyone use them?

How do you like them?? I'm not a huge fan of the typical 3 dot set up common w/ the xd's and I really seem to shoot well w/ my friends 1911 that had standard "combat sights" on it. Fast sight picture, etc. Just wondering if they're worth the money really...

I have them on another pistol and they work. But I have switched to straight eights, they are better, for me that is.

I love them for carry purposes. Not so much for a range gun--3 dot is much more accurate. I have the standard dot XS sights, and would recommend these over the big dot version. Very fast acquisition...just dot the i.

Yeah I know there's one in the pipe and I should have unloaded. This is an old pic and has been posted before and I've been properly reproved already.

I have the Big Dot on my Kahr PM40 and like them fine. But not for a range gun. As the others have said they don't lend themselves to accurate marksmanship.

I don't find a difference at all with my 3dot accuracy and Big Dot accuracy. Its really only a problem when you get beyond 25 yards, which is well beyond any practical accuracy of a pistol.

I should mention that when I put the sights on, it changed from a POA to a 6- O'clock low placement.

I have them on my sig that I use for competitions and first thought how many people do that they are not good for distances. What I figured out was that it was actually me. What makes the thing so much quicker is the wider field of view. When you bring up normal sights if you dont see the front sight right away the back sights are usually blocking it and you have to cairfully ajust which takes time. With XS you find it faster but as a downside it is easy to just quickly fire before they are totally alligned. If you take your time with distance shots or just train yourself to be more precise you will be just as acurate. After that you will be better close up too.

sjp2452, do you think you could get a pic with the sites aligned? I'd like to get an idea of how big the standard dot looks when focused on it. Thanks. There is a similar thread w/ the BIG dot here

http://www.hs2000talk.com/viewtopic....cture&start=30

page 3. He says his is a "big dot" version but it looks pretty small.
