Canyon Creek trigger again with Dawson adj sights

I just wanted to say Thank you to all the guys that praise and says great things about the Canyon Creek trigger job. It was very hard to drop that much $ on a trigger job but I did it anyway and couldn't be happier. I finally bit the bullet and sent my XD 45acp service to Canyon Creek to have a 3.5lb trigger job done as well as install a set of Dawson adj FO sights. Well I got it back yesterday and Holy Cow this thing is a totally different gun. The trigger pull is so much shorter you can't believe its the same trigger. Night and day difference like everyone has already said. The sights are great too. Thanks for all the info.

Edit to conform to decorum.

I have said is dozens of times. The trigger that Rich puts out is second to none. Welcome to the club!!

The Dawson Adjustable Sights are my favorite. I have them all of my XD (but my wife's pink princess blaster).

Forum Decorum...............

Just a word about forum decorum.

greenheadwoody started out the thread telling us
about his great trigger job from CC.

Now it has drifted completely away from the main
subject matter.

Perhaps the thread should come back on the subject
that greenheadwoody wanted to talk about and surely
not someone else who can or cannot do a similiar job
more cheaply. I always have said, "you get what you
pay for". If you don't have the $$$ now, just save up
until you do and then get the best.

I was trying to be helpful, edited my post.

I've not been able to afford stuff before and sometimes like to pass it on now that I can.

Rich does top notch work.

Shipping cost. That is the main reason I wanted to make this post. I had a very hard time spending that kind of money just to ship something. But IMO the money is very well spent and you will not be sorry if you spend it. It cost me $50 from to Texas to CC and $50 back. So $100 total on shipping from FEDEX with $700 insurance coverage. I also decided not to try and become a gunsmith and install the sights so I let CC do those also. More bang for the buck.

As for the left and low shooters... I know this is covered a bunch on this forum. The adj Dawson sights fixed this problem for me. I know its probably (me) the shooter not the gun but for now the sights allow me to hit where I am aiming. I am new to shooting pistols in competetion so hopefully the sights will cure the low/left for now until I become a better shooting. As I become a better shooter of the XD I will be able to move the sights back to zero.

Just my opinion but you already spent $400-$600 on the XD so go ahead and drop the $ for the CC trigger job. You won't be sorry!
