I also decided not to try and become a gunsmith and install the sights so I let CC do those also. More bang for the buck.

As for the left and low shooters... I know this is covered a bunch on this forum. The adj Dawson sights fixed this problem for me. I know its probably (me) the shooter not the gun but for now the sights allow me to hit where I am aiming. I am new to shooting pistols in competetion so hopefully the sights will cure the low/left for now until I become a better shooting. As I become a better shooter of the XD I will be able to move the sights back to zero.

Just my opinion but you already spent $400-$600 on the XD so go ahead and drop the $ for the CC trigger job. You won't be sorry!
how come you pay $50 for return shipping when CC has $35 return SH on their work form?

Sorry I haven't responded yet about the return shipping. I am still waiting for the FEDEX charge to show up on my account. I don't understand why it would cost $50 to get there and $35 back but we shall see. For now my return shipping was free until they charge my account. I will reply once I find out. Maybe someone else will chime in about the shipping cost.

I have a CC trigger job and those terrific Dawson adjustable sights too. I love Rich's work and have his triggers on both of my XDs. I have the red FO insert for the Dawson front sight but also have green inserts that I haven't tried yet.

For those of you looking to save a few bucks, you can get an entire meter of 0.060 fiber optic in the color of your choice for just over $6 shipped to your front door from http://www.fiberopticproducts.com/Flourescent.htm. The 0.040 FO that fits the Dawson sight is even less at just a bit over $5. I've seen both selling at around $10 per foot at other sources.

Ed, not to be confrontational, but perhaps you should reserve your judgement about who "the best" is until you have tried both offerrings.

As it is now, you are simply bagging on a member who also offers a service for those who are looking to save some $$ (though by no means does that mean a sacrifice in quality).

I agree that the thread has veered off of the original topic, but how many threads adhere strictly to their original topic...this clearly isnt the first to go OT.

With all due respect R.E....I believe Ed is correct on this. I know L2S was just being helpful, but that can be acomplished in a PM or Email without distracting from the intent of the original thread.
As for the cost to send vs. the return cost. Most likely Rich has a standing business account, which affords him a better rate.
It has gotten to the point that it would be cheaper for me to pay my dealer $20.00 for transfer and $10.00 to ship through USPS. Anyway...I like him more than FedEx/UPS..
