Just recieved Don Hume 715M from Pistol Gear
Howdy all
Just recieved my Don Hume 715M IWB holster, left hand model. Its my first concealment holster. This far, I'm pretty impressed by this inexpensive holster. The holster fits my XD 40 service very tightly, but I expect that it will loosen over time. It is quite concealable, but I haven't tried it in a real world situation just yet. I've just worn it around my house. I'll update as soon as it breaks in a little more. |

I had one and sold it. Before doing so I wrapped my gun in a dish towel & crammed it in, left it overnight a couple times. For me reholstering was kind a bear, but YMMV. Good luck with it!

Try wrapping the gun in the plastic bag the holster came in, put the gun in the holster and let it sit overnight.
That has worked great with the 3 Don Hume holsters I've had.

Well, after stretching out the leather a bit, it draws a bit easier. Wore it around the house quite a bit, then went out on the town. First time actually carrying anywhere, was a little weird, but nothing spectacular. That'll change with time. Found that I'm going to need to find a new carry position, sitting in a car with this thing is quite uncomfortable. Maybe I'll move it forward a bit. I canted the holster forward, it held just fine. Concealed just fine as well with a t-shirt and light jacket. It would conceal just fine with only a t-shirt, but it's damn cold over here right now.
More to come. |

Quick update-
Been carrying for a while now, this holster works pretty well, although it lacks somewhat in adjustability. I'll be keeping this one until I've got the spare $$$ for something that is adjustable, like a CTAC. |
