Because I convinced my wife after 3 years that we need a gun and I told her the kids would not touch it over 400 times or more.

I'm left handed and left out.
I hear that's a damn fine holster, though. |

I've been carrying Glocks now for almost 5 years. A Glock 36 rides on my hip daily.
I have tons of holsters for them. I just picked up an XD40 Service in a trade last Wednesday. I was planning on picking up a cheap Galco matrix M7 and try carrying my XD40. With a decent holster like that I'd put my Glocks in the safe and start carrying the XD full time. |

DAD!!!!!!
Well, Rob, I think I should get the holster because I just found out the man I thought was my father actually is not my father. Yep, that's right, right after he died, I found some paperwork in amoungst his things indicating that he was in the Army at the time, and couldn't possibly be "with" my mom. I have been lied to for many years by both of them.
After much soul searching, and threats of lead poisoning, my mother finally told me who my father actually is. It was one of those quickie whirlwind romances she says. She says she might even look him up. When she told me who it was, I knew the name sounded familiar, but couldn't quite place it. But now I know, you should pass on one of your fantastic hand crafted holsters to your son, yes keep things in the family, Dad. After I get one of "our" family holsters, you should have another contest to give away another holster to somebody, just to be fair to everyone. Yep, I know, It may be just as hard for you to believe as it was for me to believe, but your my Father. Mom just told me. I haven't told her I found you, yet. But I can. Want pictures of her? I have one where she is floating in the air. Scares the **** outta me, my wife and anybody else who sees it. But it's the one picture of her where the camera didn't break, so we make due with it. By the way, a little info about me for you, Married with one child, a girl age 7 who is looking forward to meeting her new "papa". You should be a proud Grandfather. Could we get some pictures of you for her? she wants to goto sleep looking at her new papa. Can it be laminated, she likes licking pictures. Oh, by the way, we are coming down in two weeks for a official meet and greet, don't worry about us staying in your house. No we wouldn't think of that, we rented an RV to stay right on the street in front of your house. Is there a storm sewer near the front of your house? We will need someplace to "dump" our sewer as we will be staying there, until I can find another job. Speaking of which, do you have any job openings? Oh wait, I don't need to even ask, do I Dad? Your the best , Dad. So understanding. Speaking of understanding. Seeing as how you and mom snuggled up way back when, you should understand this. Don't stare at my wife too to much, I know that's hard to NOT do, considering that huge mole on her nose, that blocks her left eye. But when people stare, it just breaks her heart, then she has to sit down and eat a pound of chocolates, then that affects her digestion. Which leads us right back to the RV and sewer issue. Hence, please do NOT look at her mole on her nose, oh and do not "pat" her on the hump on her back either. If you do she may just punch you. Oh one last thing, we insist on our beer being 38 degrees, so adjust your frig temp a few days before we arrive. Oh, one last thing, I will be bringing my XD45acp down with me. We can go shooting together, or I can go after you if that beer isn't cold enough. |

I have 2 XD9's. One service and one subcompact. I have bought, sold and traded several holsters because they either are not comfortable or they will not accomodate both guns. I mostly carry my service in an OWB, but with summer coming it is difficult to keep it covered without roasting in the Oklahoma heat. Every IWB I have tried has been very uncomfortable, as the muzzle tends to press very hard into my flesh. I think the flat leather inside of your Answer would prevent that.
My only means of carry for my sub is a homemade bellyband, and after the terrifying incident at a hunter's safety course at Bass Pro Shop, I have been too frightened to use it again. You see, I was the first one finished with my test. As I stood up and pushed back my chair, the rear of the slide caught the lip of the table, pulling it out of its little pocket. I clamped down hard with my elbow, pinning it against my side until I could hand in my test and head to the restroom. Well, everything would have been fine if my foot didn't get hung up in my chair. You guessed it, CLUNK!!! Luckily I was in the last row and I managed to get it back under my shirt before anyone saw. At least I think so. No one said anything to me. Why didn't I tuck my shirt in that day? Since then, I can't trust the lack of retention. I was going to try and be funny and say something like I can't afford one because I need new leather seats in my jet, or I have donated all my money to fight the terrible sport of cat juggling, but Socuban had such a funny one liner, I figured it would never be topped. Thanks for your generous offer to our forum. I am sure whoever wins this holster will not be disappointed. Congratulations in advance to the lucky member.

Allowing family to participate in this contest is fundamentally unfair. Tec should therefore be disqualified (despite his good looks....nice baby pic!)
If the FedEx guy shows up with a manual can opener, my wife would be able to collect on my life insurance, cause I would die laughing.

I am an officer in the US Navy, teaching new flight students how to fly and I just bought my XD-9. My Florida CCL should be in the mail and back to me any day now, and I don't have a holster.
Also, I used to live in Houston, and myself, my wife and my sister all graduated from Texas A&M. --Matt (Figured its worth a shot) |
