C-Tac, Crossbreed, Answer holster review
All three of these holsters are for an xd9 service. I'm about 5'11 and weigh about 210. I carry around 2:30, with the end of grip hitting right at 3:00.
These are my opinions on the the 3 holsters. What works for me, might be terrible for you, and vice versa. On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the best Concealability c-tac: 8 cross: 8.5 answer: 9 Comfort c-tac: 7 cross: 9.5 answer: 10 Quality cross: 7 c-tac: 8 answer: 10 Speed cross: 8.5 answer: 8.5 c-tac: 10 Cost answer: 7 c-tac: 8.5 cross: 10 Conclusion: I don't think you could go wrong with any of the three. I think that it will basically come down to personal preference. The Answer is by far the most expensive, but the saying is true, you get what you pay for....if I had to pick only one, it would be the answer. If you are on a budget, you can't go wrong with the crossbreed, and Mark is a very nice gentleman to do business with. For some reason, I just don't really care for the c-tac too much....I think it might be because it doesn't have any backing like the leather on both the crossbreed and answer. Anyway, I hope this helps some. Last edited by jalley : 03-15-2007 at 04:52 PM. |

Thanks. These are the best kind of reviews - from a consumer with no ax to grind, no agenda, no vested interest, no financial involvement. Simple, to the point, and you took into account the most important criteria for the typical Joe. Nice work.

How about adding your reviews to www.rigrate.com?
