Surefire X200

There was some discussion in a couple of threads about the difference between the two Surefire X200 tactical lights now available, and how they compare to the new Streamlight LED tactical lights.

Surefire's description of the X200A:
"a tight diamond-shaped central beam and a broad peripheral corona. The special lens allows the X200A to project a tightly focused beam at greater distances than comparably sized lights. "
and the X200B:
"While the A model is designed to produce a tighter beam for identification of longer range threats, the wider beam of the B model is better for peripheral threat identification. "

I spoke with a Surefire dealer who described the beam of the X200B as a flood with no center hotspot, not a spot/flood like the Streamlight TLR-1.

I picked the X200B

I have other long range beam lights from Surefire so I wanted a indoor type gunlight this is where the X200B is very useful. I did a Google search and many others also have picked the X200B over the X200A nothing wrong with the A it's just a matter of where you really are needing the use this light. You cannot convert the X200A to the X200B just answering a question in advance.
Best price for the X200A or B I found and placed my order. Becoming a member gives you the non-retail prices. Also shipping UPS ground on Surefire products is free.
