truglo sights-opinions?

Bought a XDSC .40 last week that the store installed these sights, are they crap or is it a crap-shoot like most all other things? SYBO

Are they the TFO's?
There have been many reports of the FO tubes popping out. It happened to me so I epoxied it in there forever. Worked like a charm and they are very bright in dim or low light. They make it very easy to grab your gun in darkness too.

XD.45c, blown 2 front sights out in less than a year. Truglo replaced the first one for free. Had to send the slide to them so was without the pistol for a little over a week. Was able to find some after market rods that would fit and glued one in.

Would I get Truglo again, NO!

TFO's on my XD9sc for about 3 months. I have run 300-400 rds through it with no issues. Fiber Optics are bright in almost any light and the Tritiums light up well at night. Sealed both front and rear sights with clear fingernail polish and they are staying in place so far.

i like them but they could be better. i never had my rods fall out (i put clear fingernail polish on the tops when i got them and that helps them stay in, prevention is key)

if my gun got heavy use and wasn't babied i wouldn't recommend them they just arent as durable as other sights.

but when they work they are the best! WAY brighter then any other sighs ive used

I have TFOs on my XD45C, used clear Epoxy on the tubes and have had zero problems. I had them on my XD40SC but switched them out for Trijicons, they weren't giving me any problems except they look pretty big on the short slide and the Trijicons are just right. You should be fine with the TFOs if you Epoxy the tubes in or use clear fingernail polish. Just a tiny bit is all you need.

Thanks Shaner they look great, I truly appreciate your help. The pictures also exhibit the Norton Special NP3 treament by Robar for those interested as well as the TFO sights.

I've been running TFOs on three of my XDs for more than three years now with absolutely no problems.
