I saw these in a magazine the other day. Concept looks interesting. Looks kinda funny but if it works. You can give me $200 and I'll test them out.

one advantage these might have is that they are closer the the actual line of the barrel than grip or rail lasers, and should therefore have less variance in accuarcy with changes of distance. I saw them a while ago when they were only making them for glocks and figured it wouldn't be long before the pop up for the xd. If I didn't already have the crimson trace grips it would be tempting to try out.

So when you need to defend yourself, quickly draw your weapon and bring it up to target.
Oooops, wait, you have to find the tiny button on the sight and press it either once or twice for the laser to activate.
That will, of course, take you off target, so now that you identified a threat, quickly drew your concealed pistol, yelled at the criminial to stop, REMEMBERED to turn on your laser, bring the barrel up to target.....oooops again, now you're dead and your wife and daughter is being raped

Serioiusly, does this damn laser need to be posted every other day?!?!? We all get it already, no need to post and push this laser every chance you get. Do all of you guys work for this company or getting a kick back

that seems a little overly defensive, although it is a good point....

Listen to K9.
We beat it up in the other sections of the forum several times. We outlined exactly why it has no business on a defensive weapon. There is no momentary on option. You have to click the button twice to even get it back off due to the cycle design of steady beam, strobe then off. This is a failure for any professional school that teaches night fighting with the use of light/lasers.

This thing is a semi-permanent installation. You need a sight drifter to install them. Or, a visit to your gunsmith. Yay...
Then you find out the pad with wings design obstructs your ability to grasp the slide.

The proximity to the barrel matters very little really when it comes to handguns. The Surefire X400 has a high amount of parallax, and it isn't really an issue. At point blank range, the dot is approximately 1.5 inches below the POI. When sighted at 50 feet, that 1.5" progressively gets smaller until the POI matches the POA.

Your CTC lasergrips are a 1000 times better due to the momentary activation feature. I would trust them with my life (because I did for 7 years). The only other laser worth owning is the Surefire X400 when coupled with the optional remote momentary switch. If a package cannot be controlled in momentary fashion one handed and completely ambidextrous, I don't need it.

I'd rather have 200 dollars in Pez than this device. If they mailed it to me for free, I don't think I'd install it.

Point well taken. I can definitely see the merits of the momentary switch, and I have been very happy with the CTC grips. Plus $200 can buy a lot of pez.

Spend the extra & get CTC. Grab & go...plus added little extra chunk to grip which my hands love on the XDsc.

Those things just look ridiculous and it would be hard to turn on WSHTF and your pumping adrenaline.
