Another way to carry an XD!

Until recently the only way I ever carried was IWB. But due to old age and some health problems IWB carry has, for me, become a real problem to carry off well. I discovered the Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack and it has become a real savior.

The pic shows it with a large Beretta but the concealed carry compartment fits the XD45 very well. It has a velcro lining and you can get a velcro holster which will hold the XD in place with no problem. I have to carry a lot of "stuff" and the Jumbo allows me to do this with no problem. For those who may need this kind of carry assist the Maxpedition Jumbo is sure a good way to go.

The pic also shows the bag carrying a 32oz bottle of water on the side and it will do this if you want. I don't but the space can also be used to carry more "Stuff" if you need it. Very versatile pack

Maxpedition makes great gear. I have a bunch of MOLLE pouches I use for camping from them.

Oh yeah. I forgot. There's already a word for that. A purse.

Anyway, dairycreek, I think that's a sweet pack and I've actually had my eye on one for a while. They're just so expensive...

I agree that they are expensive. On the other hand they are so doggone well built that I suspect that mine will last for a lifetime.

Probably true for a lot of us. Used to be true for me until it just had to work for me and then it was a real blessing.

Unless you are on a camping trip... it's a purse.
No offense to anyone. Tom Brady carries a man purse to. I've seen it!

You can usually score good deals of Maxpedition gear on Ebay if you look long enough.

My CHL Instructor always carried a "Fanny Pack" and none of us really thought much about it. It wasn't until I was in his class and he ripped the velcro loose and pulled out a full size Kimber 1911 that we realized he was carrying a little bit more than his wallet and maybe a pack of Oreos in there. Weapon completely hidden (satisfying CHL requirements) and totally accessable. Although I never thought of them like alot of people do, I don't look at the "Man Purses" quite the same anymore. Due to limited mobility in my right hand and arm from injuries in an accident, I will probably have to go with something like that. I had considered a shoulder holster rig. Living in Texas, that might be fine during the Winter, but not very feasible during most of our Summers.
