purse (pûrs)
n.
1) A woman's bag for carrying keys, a wallet, and other personal items; a handbag.
2) A small bag or pouch for carrying money.
3) Something that resembles a bag or pouch.

Because it IS a purse. I've carried a Mountain Smith bag or an REI-equivelant in the past, and have no issues about doing so, but I know it's my man-purse, and I accept it. I don't give a rat's ass if someone snickers at it.

In the season premiere of 24 this year, Jack grabs his man-purse full of death-dealing **** before he leaves the house. Does that make him a girlie man?

i believe there's another version that may be a bit larger, and has an attachment that goes around your waist, to secure it that way along with the shoulder harness. looked like pretty well-made stuff. i found the stuff when looking for a good duty gear bag, they had one on the site there as well.

Like SLCDave, I don't have a problem with what others think either. Better to have your weapon accessible in a "purse" and let idiots snicker thinking you are a "girlie man" than to have it inaccessable and useless just to look like a "stud". Hmm, live "girlie man" or dead "stud"??? Tough decision, huh?

I don't know. That is a very manly getup. I might suspect you of carrying with that military looking bag. But, most people will probably think you are going on a long hike.

Those are good for hiking up Broke Back Mountain.

Really, I give it a thumbs up. Looks like good stuff.

I agree, a man purse is a man purse is a man purse. No biggie. Nothing wrong with it.

Jack had a messenger bag not a man purse. I know, same thing. But, there are a few differences. Messenger bag is just what they call them to still sound manly... lol
