unfortunetly the guide rod doesnt fit the newly changed barrel lug on XDSC yet. At least lasermax hadnt changed it 3 months ago when i was shopping around Springfield XD LaserMax Laser Sight Systems
When they do change it so it fits I would go with them. But right now I like the Insight X2L Insight X2L Laser Tactical Light, Insight X2L Laser Weapons Light
I use the M6X its older bigger brother on XDM and HUGE fan of insight.

I am going to purchase a Crime Trace grip laser. For me, I need to be able to quickly turn off the laser so the BG doesn't see me coming. With the Crimson Trace all you have to do is move your finger over it. Then after you confirm that you in fact have a BG in your house (with a flash light that you strobe on and off like a camera flash) you can move your finger down, revealing the laser, and pull the trigger.

They have some good videos on their web site.

A friend of mine has the crimson trace on his M&P compact 40 and its cool and all, but if your left haded like me, and use the thumbs forward grip you block the laser. So its pretty worthless to me unless I change my grip.

I put CT laser grips on my sub-compact. I found that the "beefier" grip as a result of the grips themselves work to my advantage. I also added HOGUE pinky extender(s) to both my 10rnd mags.

I've got it sighted in and 10-12 yrds.
