Canada's Most Heavily Armed Regions Have Fewest Gun Crime Victims

If the federal government's numbers are right, Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are Canada's most heavily armed citizens, but also its least trigger-happy. According to the most recent numbers from the Canada Firearms Centre, the province has 70,977 registered firearms. Statistics Canada's latest numbers estimate the province's population at 508,270. Kinda like how there is very little crime in rural USA, yet nearly every rural household has a gun somewhere? Even here in MD in one of the "yuppie" counties, one can hear neighbors target shooting just about every day.

This really shouldn't come as a surprised. Maybe the Canadians are bitter clingers of guns too.

Free people tend to get that way..

I just hope the guy is wrong when he says they will be the first to register their firearms if required. No good can come of any registration. None.
