Trying to Shoot Mice with .44 Magnum, California Woman Shoots Herself
POTTER VALLEY, California -- A Mendocino County woman who was trying to kill mice in her trailer with a gun ended up shooting herself and another person. The mice aren't that big... The roof rats can get pretty big but not the mice...

Anybody else smell something fishy here? Story looks like backfill to me.
For starters, is there a .44 mag that will discharge when dropped? I'm not super familiar with revolvers but the .44 mag is "modern" enough that I'd think all of them would have hammer blocks and not discharge just for being dropped.
