New Law Sets Stage for Gun Showdown at World's Busiest Airport
You could call it the Atlanta version of "High Noon." Top city officials will announce Tuesday that despite a new state gun law that went into effect at midnight, they will have anyone carrying a weapon at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport arrested. The state lawmaker who sponsored the new gun law says if they do, the city will immediately be sued. And state Rep. Tim Bearden (R-Villa... Its crazy to see the people in Atlanta and (other places) fighting for the same rights that I already enjoy. I guess in regards to the bill of rights, Florida is very progressive.

I had no idea it was illegal to carry at the airport until now. Luckily I haven't gotten in any trouble. I hope GeorgiaCarry's lawsuit is effective.

It's amazing to me that the Mayor's of these Cities believe that it is their little Fiefdom and they can do and say anything they want despite what the LAW says. If they arrest people for not breaking this law it should be a criminal act and the person who was falsely arrested should own a small piece of Atlanta when it's all over with. She now goes right up there with Daley, Fenty, and Bloomberg. The A$$hats.....

I just love seeing Shirley and the Airport manager trying to make a new law just because....they said so!
I'm glad GCO got involved and saved Rep. Bearden the hassle. I'm sure pictures of him were posted at the Airport today so Security could be on the lookout for this dangerous "Gun nut".
