Stray Bullet Fired 'Several Hundred Feet Away' Killed Connecticut Woman
NEW HAVEN, Connecticut -- New Haven officials say a woman has died after she was apparently hit by a stray bullet from nearby gunfire. Police say the fatal shooting Sunday apparently happened during an exchange of gunfire in the area of Winthrop and Derby Avenues. One of the shots hit the woman in the chest outside a home.
