New Plan for Routine NZ Police Patrol to Carry Guns 'Hard to Accept' - MP
New Zealand First MP Ron Mark is at a loss to understand plans for permanently armed units on the streets of South Auckland. The Police Commissioner will consider a proposed six-month trial of the 24-hour patrols in August. What is "hard to accept" for this NZ PM (and for much of the world) is "freedom". The concept that individuals can be responsible and handle freedom is very "hard to accept" around the world.
But, they'd better get used to it.
