Sure there's plenty of crime here, but it's not much different or tougher any other big city. It's not like you have to look over your shoulder every five minutes to avoid being mugged or shot.

Apologies for the rant beforehand, but this topic just gets me heated. As much as I'd never leave or risk feeling homesick, I still hate the wannabe-posh Miami's turning into. It's all about government corruption and appeasing only to the very rich, screwing the low and middle classes. This place used to have so much soul, too - It's such a shame that such a cool city has become a cesspool in just over a decade.

I wasn't meaning what I said like that, but yes, there are problems down there. I don't live in a big city (I think my town is right at 10,000 people these days) so we have almost zero crime around here and that's what makes it seem so bad to me.

Then again I can't talk, I was considering going to Orlando for school.
