i said this when this passed in cali, but some poor bastard is going to get stuck in the law before microstamping goes the way of the dodo. Some guy is going to leave stamped brass at the range, some hood is going get ahold of it, and use it to incriminate an innocent person. it wont be me because i will never own a microstamping firearm.

then, they'll pass a law requiring we pick up every round of brass and dispose of them at authorized centers for a fee.

In essence, anyone who owns ammo thats not microstamped will be a criminal, but who will enforce this? it's an unproven technology.

another good point...my XD rarely leaves a perfect dimple on primers...its often just ever so slightly oblong shaped primer strike. Would the teeny tiny letters even register?

this call for microstamping is just another feel good measure which could put gun co's out of business and make ammo and fire arms to expensive for most people - except criminals.

99.9999% of liberalism is feeling good. substance and outcome are never thought of.

On the other hand. if it was national thing - which i will become, how much will this cost us tax payers?
