Do Cops Really Need 18-shot Pistols, Asks Australian State Police Chief
Victoria police Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon has questioned whether her force really needs semi-automatic Glock pistols that fire 18 shots. Victoria's Police Association union assistant secretary Bruce McKenzie said yesterday that the State Government had failed to keep its pre-election promise by not providing funds in its budget for the police to have Taser stun guns and semi-automatic... Nothing like being outgunned by the bad guy....reloading while being shot at because some politician who has never seen a day on the streets thinks its best....
i have an idea, give her a 6 shooter...run it dry and make her reload while you shoot at her. If she can do it successfully and then shoot you before you get her then she wins. If not....obviously she loses.

Wow! I always knew disarming the general public was a super-effective crime deterrent, but I never thought about disarming the police! What a great idea!
[/sarcasm] Seriously? How stupid will people actually get before SHTF? Maybe the cops should just be issued boomerangs! (EDIT: Nerf Boomerangs though, wouldn't want anyone to get hurt...)
