Assault Rifle Cop Killing Reignites Gun Control Battle in Pennsylvania

Nobody knows more about the gruesome carnage caused by five blasts from a Chinese-made SKS assault rifle than Thomas Krajewski Sr., the Port Richmond man who cradled Sgt. Stephen Liczbinski as the cop lay dying outside his home Saturday. That's why Krajewski can't believe that the gun is not outlawed in Philadelphia. An SKS is an assault rifle?

oh an assault rifle indeed! anything that looks like a military gun is an evil assault rifle. anything that has a pistol grip or a bayonet is an assault rifle. anything that doesn't look like a 'deer' rifle is an assault rifle. even though it is a semi automatic weapon. anything that scares people is an assault rifle.

i saw a video on the net where a guy showed the difference between some hunting rifles and military style rifles. some of the hunting rifles had detachable magazines, semi automatic. the same action that the scary 'assault rifles' use. i think he even switched the stocks on a 10/22 from the wood to evil looking black stocks, and its the same exact rifle, but it scares people who don't understand...

funny how a SKS doesnt even have a pistol grip or collaspble/folding stock to qualify as an assault weapon.

I also like how they show pictures of the SKS, and it is always a user-modified SKS with Poly stock and detachable mag with a sidefolder or something. That article just did it.

How come they never show the nice woodgrain, conventional models with a stripper clip? Ridiculous. Not that they are any more or less dangerous, but they always go for the EBR look when trying to scare the sheep.

the more menacing they can make it the better. The AK is the poster child of the ultimate evil, followed by the AR, the media has some work to do.

It's the media cooperating with their running dog comrades, AKA gun grabbers, to make a mountain out of a mole hill, and distort the message. Just wait for them to start calling anything that has a long barrel an "assault rifle"...

In this election year, any time the media can grab on to a story that put guns in a bad light, they will. Gotta help Obama, and Clinton, get elected!

The anti-gunners will be pushing hard until November under the idea that a stalinist style leftist may get into the white house.

The media will carry the water for them.
