AR State Championship 2012!
From CASA range in Little Rock, AR State IDPA Championships. This is all 12 Stages but a few are just photos. Had a blast and the stages were great!
Took home 3rd place ESP/MM!

Great match and really tested you on every aspect of shooting. Hadn't been for the doughnut stage and the double swingers on another I might have finished as high in my div/class as you did. My XDm45 5.25 was dead on most of the day. Your buddy William won ESP Novice and had the time of his life as well. Looking forward to next year.

Yeah there were some crazy technical stages. I know what I needed to work on now and ready for IL, MO and Tri State! Yeah Bill is a great guy! Was glad he shoot well! Yeah hit me up next time! Just look for the guy in the SA jersey and say hi. I am all over the place so just gingle some keys to get my attention!

Great thing about those big matches is meeting new people. Glad to see a fellow XDm shooter; our squad had 1 revolver shooter, Bill with his 9mm 1911, me with an XDm and the rest were all dyed in the wool Glock lovers. Long day hearing the glory of Glocks (even though I outshot all but one of them for the match). Definitely will look for you next time I'm up that way. See ya next time.

O right on you had a XDm hat on? Yeah everyone has their favorites and that is all that is out there. I can tell you that XDm 5.25s are getting out in the shooting sports like crazy! The top few guys at the Bianchi Cup this year in Production were rocking one!

How do IDPA rankings play into State competitions? Looks like you're well above a Marksman class? Do you have to re-qualify before start?

Well you can do an IDPA qualifier anytime really. Most clubs do it at the end of each season so that you can use it for next years IDPA season. At national matches you shoot in that division/class that you got set as. If you win and I believe beat 7 other shooters scores in the class above you you get a bump up at that matches awards ceremony. Then you would be that new rank for the remaining matches. There has to be a certain number of shooters in your class and also the one up from you to allow you to get the bump. Yeah it helps that my coach is a Expert class shooter and also shoots with Master/Pro shooters!  All about the practice!
