Shot this with my Contour Roam head cam. I blew a couple stages, and forgot to turn it on on one stage, but you'll get the idea
EDIT: found out Youtube screwed up the video, so I am reloading it...check back later.

Lotta cool camera footage. Around here, the better guys are really into match video-ing.
A few of them own three of these Sony Bloggies cameras (which are on crazy sale if you have a Costco near you).
They station them throughout the stage before they shoot the stage with these Gorilla Pods:
And because the cameras are so cheap, if one does get hit, it's not the end of their world.
(On a side note, I think that all USPSA matches should do something along these lines, and then sell the video to match-goers for a profit -- I'd buy vids of my stages if the price & quality were right. The peeps running the match would be able to spend more on equipment that any single person, and still recoup their investment + make a profit, imho )
Po-boys like me just get a friend. They film your stages, you film theirs, and in time, you both develop some filming skills. Having someone follow you along seems to get the best footage.
Combining that with a headcam might be even better...I def have the phenomenon ErichF spoke about, where immediately after I run a stage my mind can't remember the stage well at all!
Also, the camera I got for 3rd person video is the Samsung HMX-W200RN. It's waterproof and shockproof...probably not bullet-proof
I set it downrange looking at the shooter position on occasion, but only when there's no steel on the stage. Splatter and ricochet could damage it.

It was funny...I was thinking, "Hey, that was a nice reload for being prone" -- looks like the RO agreed...
That ghost town stage went awry (what happened -- did you pull out two mags and drop one?), but hey -- once you relaxed you blew through that second star!
As for the last stage, it was pear-shaped from the start. I hit the no-shoot on the first position. Then I gamed the swinger with head-shots behind the no-shoot successfully. Moving to the center ally, I pulled a mag to reload and pulled another out of the pouch by accident. It nose-dived into the sand, and I knew I needed that mag to get through the stage. So, I picked it up and secured it. Getting back to shooting, I went on autopilot and shot the array in the ally - even the swinger which I had just previously put two Alphas in the head! I actually scored FOUR alphas on that thing Oh well...of course, the extra shots screwed up my reload plan, causing me to have a slide-lock reload on a star - VERY BAD! Somehow I managed to pull my head out of my ass and finish the stage off like I had some kind of clue

Cool vid, can't wait to get my cam in. Way to smoke that second star on the last stage!
Also that club has some great props... Saloon style stuff and whatnot

Yeah that club has a pretty cool Western Town action area. They also do a lot of cowboy action shooting there. They even have a gallows on one bay! The club is the Hernando Sportsman's Club near Homassassa Springs, FL.

Erich, which under $100 holster would you recommend for me and my 5.25? Would love one of those ghost style but until i get a few hundred more matches under my belt, that's a bit overkill. I was looking at the Carbon Fiber Blade Tech ( Blade-Tech DOH/Sting Ray Holster Carbon - RIGHT HAND ) but thought I'd ask your opinion.
Obviously speed is not yet a concern, just want something a bit more secure than the stock holster that can with the 5.25.
Thanks
