That's a new one on me. Know of several people who shoot XD4 ACP in CDP. Next match I'm pulling out the box (just to check the fit; not to DQ anyone); shoot a XDm45 5.25 myself and it fits the box. Really curious now.

Correct. The gun fits the box fine. Try it with any magwell installed, that is a different story.

SA's Custom Shop should have a magwell that is for IDPA. I know I have one for my XD/XDm 9mm 5/5.25's. All in IDPA ESP tho. Give them a call and they should be able to set you up.

I was going to say, I shoot a XDTAC, it barely fits in the box as is. I can't imagine any magwell would work. Any mag extension makes it not fit, thus illegal.

Do you shoot the XD Tactical in 45ACP? If so, you can confirm that frame length and how it just makes the box. The XD 9/40 models have a slightly shorter frame which allows it to have a magwell and fit the box.
