The best indoor range I've been to is the one at Guns and Leather, north of Nashville. They have video on their website. They have targets that work thru different programs, changing distances. Target is active and moving while you stay stationary.

I also like Terry Walden's Range near Manchester (outdoor). It's not fancy, but they have a nice 300 yard rifle range. Seperate pistol range and IDPA range. Barrett uses it frequently. I've run into Michael Bane there shooting episodes of Shooting Gallery, and a filming of the Future Weapons show for Discovery Channel.

What other ranges are out there for our Tennessee members?

There are three indoor ranges in the Knoxville area:

1. Coal Creek Armory, on 10737 Dutchtown Road, Knoxville, TN

2. Gunny's Indoor Shooting Range, 2208 East Broadway, Maryville, TN

3. Sevier Indoor Range, 1874 Country Meadows Drive, Sevierville, TN

I've been to all three, but the one I go to most is Coal Creek, mainly because it's the closest to my home.

Hoselton's in Tullahoma/Moore County should have their outdoor range open soon

Memphis has RangeUSA ( www.rangeusa.com/ ) and Range Master ( www.rangemaster.com/ ) and Top Brass Sports in Millington ( www.top-brass.com ) There is possibly one other in South East Memphis. I am most familiar with Range USA, (got training and Carry Permit through them). Very nice facilities with restaurant... .
Range Master seems to have an excellent reputation among shooters...

I like Coal Creek because Tuesday is lady's day and they get in free and a guy with her(me) gets in for the lower price for a second person to a lane. I live about a mile from Gunny's but I've never gone there because I don't like the stories I've heard from friends and family about the owners.

+1 on the Sevier Indoor Range. I live in Newport so it's not really that far, around 20 minutes. Fantastic people, wonderful range with motorized target lines and lights on each lane. Not to mention a ton of ammo and other supplies, and GUNS. You can even rent guns to try them out, i rented the XD(m) 45 for 8 bucks the other day.

Can't say enough about how nice the owners are, he cleaned my magazines out for me the other day because my slide wouldn't lock back, didn't charge me a thing. They're definitely good people.

I like Coal Creek and Frontier Firearms
