Hi everyone. I'm in Omaha. Anywhere close to shoot for free? DOnt like the bullet hole its getting expensive. I normally go down to Neb city right across the bridge on the iowa side. Usualy a few people down there. If anyone stops by im the one with the Dark Green Jeep wrangler.

I was gonna say Thunder Alley here in Lincoln but I'd be lying if I said it were cheaper. It's $6/person/half hour or $10/person/hour. Otherwise, I don't believe there is anywhere else. Honestly, I would dish out the $6 per half hour since for 1, your driving a Jeep(not so good gas mileage) and 2, gas prices are increasing. Your probably using $6 in gas going back and forth from Neb City..

If you buy a membership at Bullet Hole for $100 you get 1/2 price on range and targets. You would need to go there everyweek for 1 hour to make it worth it. I have had two memberships and this last year was difficult to take advantage of so they made out well. I guess it boils down to how much you shoot. There is a discount for purchases you make there too with a membership. The other option is the outdoor facilities at Eastern Nebraska Gun Club ($120 per year plus induction fee) where you can do all firearms but then again, it is a bit of a drive. I would love to get a group of investors together and do a dual purpose (indoor/outdoor with gunsmith onsite as well as classrooms and retail) facility in NW Omaha but not a lot of big cash floating around right now. Sorry I am not much help but I can empathize with the Jeep issue - I drive a Wrangler Unlimited 4 door and they are like driving a brick wall aerodynamically - lol!

Check out the Eastern Nebraska Gun Club just east of Louisville. It's an outdoor range.

The Bullet Hole raised their prices to $8 per half hour 1/2/12.
I'm thinking about a membership. You'd have to save $4 every other week.
