It's the same with all night sights bud. The filament needs charged first. Though you don't have to hit it with a flashlight first. Just about any light will give you at least a dim charge so you are able to line up your sights in the dark. I think a lot of people seem to forget that that is the real purpose of night sights, to make sure that you are lined up at a potential target. Otherwise you might hit the wall over the perps shoulder because your angle was off instead of the sternum you were trying for.

I will soon. I'll actually be doing two weapons, one that didn't come with night sights and the other that did but had a bad run in with some solvent lol. Gimme a couple days to get my bottle and I'll post some up bud.

this is completely false. real night sights do not need to be charged. They glow because of Tritium, a radioactive gas

Thats what i thought

But i have a sig p6 with just plain sights, No dimple in them so i think applying it would be hard, and it would bug the heck out of me if i didn't make it a perfect circle

What's the worst that could happen? Sounds like you want new sights anyway. Give it a shot and if you don't like it clean them off or buy new ones.
