Hey Guys,
Its all in what you like ..... we have always sold a number of the green / green setup, it is the most common and most recognized. The reason most companies stay away from red/orange tritium is because it does last as long, doesn't seem to be the case with the yellow.

I think the yellow / green is different and there has been a big wave in the sale the last couple of weeks, but I think at year end green / green will still out sale them 7 to 1, maybe even 10 to 1

I hope that helps
Jason

Are there any plans for a different color front sight option other than green? How does the size of the insert compare to the size of the dots on the standard sights? Thanks.

The dots seem comparable in size to standard sights IMO.

You'd have to talk to someone at Truglo about future colors, and even at that they'll probably give you the official response of "we are constantly working on development blah blah blah"...

Be nice if they made a TFO with red front sight.

I would be surprised if they did a red, like I said most companies list the life span at less than half with the red. I guess that is why most stay away from them

Take Care

They do the red front on the fiber optic only, not the TFO. I wish they made the TFO with the red front as well.

Jason's correct.

I had PT Nightsights on my Glock 26.
Green front / red rear.
Had the gun for 10 years.
The red ones started to fade after 6 years.
Went out completely after 8.
The green started to fade after 9 and still had a little glow to it when I sold it.

Had Trijicons on my SIG P229, all green of course.
They had a little bit of glow after 10 years when I sold it.
Just thought you would want to know.

I'm hoping to take advantage of this great price Jason is offering and have him put some TFOs on my XD9sc.
I'll be getting the green / green.
I've never seen TFOs priced this low.
Thanks Jason.

I wouldn't mind replacing the front sight every five years or so. Just like the tires on my Vette. I can buy the ones that don't handle worth a damn and get lots of mileage/time out of them or get the ones that handle well and have to replace them every couple or three years... Just depends on what you like. 20 or 30 bucks every five years doesn't seem unreasonable to me. And after the original sights are removed you should be able to change it out yourself. Just long interval routine maintenance. Thats my story and I'm stickin' to it.

Makes sense, I guess it is all in what you like. That's why the industry has so many options and continues to grow daily
