noob question: TFO's are best suited for daylight and low light situations, rather than dark/no-light, right? they don't "glow" without at least some light? thanks! i'm trying to find sights that are bright enough for my aging eyes and wonder if these are better than dawson precision fixed...

also: does anyone have just the front TFO installed and paired it with a different rear sight?

Crushload if you haven't been able to, try and find someone who has the TFOs and check them out in the daylight. They are awesome, no problem aquireing a sight picture with them. At night they are very bright due to the tritium. Maybe someone here has a picture of their TFOs in the daylight and can post the picture so you can see how they look.

Jbgood, yeah they DO look great, but too many negative reviews/commets/stories, etc have swayed me away *shrug*. i need something durable for my carry purposes.

I hear you. I put a small amount of clear 5 Min.Epoxy on my TFOs that are on my XD45C which I carry most everyday and have had zero issues, and I never had any issues prior to useing the epoxy either. I did take them off my XD40SC though and replaced them with Trijicon Night Sights. They weren't giving me any problems I just wanted something of a smaller profile on the shorter slide of the Sub-Compact. I had the Trijicons installed, they are great very durable and they light up just enough in low light and glow very bright in total darkness.I feel like I made an excellent decision in choosing to go with the Trijicon.

Can you post some pics of the TFO's, I'm thinking of having them installed on my XDM.

Is this deal still valid? I'd like to get a set of green rears, yellow front for my XD45.
