Knoxx SpecOps Recoil Reducing Stock for Remington 870

Anybody have one or used one? Pros and Cons? Alternatives?

Gilbert's has one on GunBroker.com Online Gun Auction for 120... would they ever do a discount for an XDTalk member if I called them?

I have one on my 870 Slug Gun user for Deer Hunting. It works very well and it is amazing how much of the felt recoil is reduced.

Thanks guys. It's recoil reducing capabilities is what I was interested in. Of course, there are cheap ones that don't do that, so I was wondering if it was worth the bump up in price. There are some really expensive ones our there from mesa tactical, but I can't imagine spending more on a stock then I did on the gun. The knoxx one seemed a good middle ground, whether the recoil was reduced as much as they say or even a little. There are a bunch on eBay, NIB, ranging from 99 to 149 in price. Does the knoxx stock change your position with the gun from the stock one? It looks like it has a greater disctance drop from the sight picture to the shoulder then the remington stock..... if that makes sense even! Do you need a special tool to install it? I heard you did.....

no no special tool it comes with a long alien key to help with the install just dont put you cheek to close to were the receiver slides in to the stock when firing it will slap your cheek but other then that it adjust just like an AR carbine stock

Ask Gilberts about a XDtalk group buy discount on the stock. I bet there would be 5 or 10 people interested for the right price.

That would be cool, I am going to a gun show this weekend to try to source one (as well as other parts). If I come up empty, I will contact them. How do I get in touch with them?

I would reccomend it, as I have one on my 870 express, and it really knocks down the felt recoil.

I put everything from birdshot to slugs thru it when I bought it and it works just great.

The stock has good extension from the shoulder and of course the pistol grip helps also.

The gap that you get between the stock and the rear of the gun is a bit odd looking, but damn it works great!
