Good price for used XD
Hey all,
Last week I went into a shop to sell my unused XD Green 4" 9mm...
Then, they told me they'd take it for 409...I went to the range to test it out and I like it, but would like to go with the SC...
They told me since it had been fired it went down to $325...I only fired 100 rounds through it!
There is NO wear or scuffs or anything! Is this price drop normal or did I catch them at a bad time? Let me know please!
Thanks for your help!!!
Best regards,
Travis Biggs

If your going to sell it then sell it privately you will get more for it than $325.00. Think about it they won't sell it for $325.00, probably at the least $400.00, you can get that yourself by doing a private sale.

I would just start letting my friends and co-workers know that you have a XD firearm for sale. I don't know how Gunbroker or Guns America works.

I bought a .40 service model for $385 today (& felt that I was getting a good deal) that was probably in the same condition yours is after putting 100 rounds thru it. A new one goes for $485 w/tax around here.

Thanks for the input! I will try Gunbroker I think...I don't really know anyone that would be interested personally...if I could only get to 100 posts and list it on the For Sale forum!!!

Why not announce it here on this forum: The Trading Post - For Sale or Trade - XDTalk Forums - Your HS2000/SA-XD Information Source!
Where are you located, one of us might buy it if you are are in our area.
As much as I am for small businesses, I myself own and operate a small retail store, I know that some are out to get that almighty dollar and will screw anyone to make an extra buck.
I think that if there is really that much of a difference between a gun that has a hundred rounds through it and an unused gun, there is something wrong and/or the customer should have been told, prior to walking away the first time.
That leaves a lot of, "ifs" and there are always two sides to every story. I can't judge from the little that we've been told; just hope the best for you.

Thanks all...unfortunately I'd like to sell it as soon as possible, but the waiting period for the For Sale forum link that you sent is 30 days
Anyway, I am in the Atlanta burbs, so let me know if anyone is interested...
I think that the miscommunication lies in the fact that I was told 409 by an employee who was probably reading the price that they can purchase new ones from the computer or something...maybe?
Well, what are you gonna do? I guess I just have to be patient, but that's hard!

Don't worry, patience will pay off in this case

That's true...
I checked yesterday and the store also had a USP compact used (looked new) for $499...this was at a different gun store. Any comparison between that and the XD? I guess when I shot the XD I was a little disappointed with the trigger pull length...maybe this shortens up over time? Thanks!
