Yesterday, I went to the range with my Dad and 5 friends. It was me, my Dad, and two of the friends in one stall and the other 3 friends were 2 stalls down. There were 4XD's in our stall; my 2, my Dad's XD9SC and one of the friends has an XD9SC as well. That leaves 1 friend w/o an XD. He is a gun newb and was in the market for a weapon for concealed carry. He said he didn't want a Glock

because of the lack of safeties. He wanted to try my XDs out and he also rented a Taurus Millenium somethinr'another. He tried my XD9SC out first and did really well. He then tried the Taurus. It ran flawlessly, but he said that there was no comparison in the two. (He did'nt like the trigger) The XD won hands down! He then tried my .45 and loved it as well. My friend walked out of the store/range the proud (and scared...wife...y'know) owner of a brand new XD9SC!!!

Counting my 2 XDs that is the 8th XD I have directly influenced the sale of.
My Dad is relatively new into shooting and he did an excellent job with his XD. The other friend is a complete newb and yesterday was the first time he had shot anything in a long time. He was shaky at first but at the end of the session, with a little direction, he was blasting out the center of the target lickety split.
All of the XD's in my stall ran flawlessly yesterday, which is a great relief to me due to the amount of newbs that were under my watch. There were no FTF's or FTE's out of any of the 4. The friends two stalls down had an XD40 that ran flawlessly as well!
Yesterday was a red banner day for me! I am very proud of the people I went to the range with and dad-gummit I am so proud of the Springfield XD line of pistols. What an amazing set of handguns!
