I was thinking of this as well while waiting for my concealed. In an odd way I sense what it may be like as a criminal by following the law. Paying for the permit, paying and undergoing fingerprinting, then more forms and phone calls in order to purchase the gun. It goes along with not being able to buy beer on Sunday's but I can get loaded up at the corner Chili's and drive my car, go figure. Thank God there is no 10 day wait in Ga.
The plague of liberalism is likely to spread East when Nancy "Lala" Pelosi and Harry "Houdini" Reid get control. Hopefully, they and PEBO will be too busy spending more of my kids/grandkids money.

One of the really dumb things about waiting periods, is that if I wanted to commit a crime with a gun, I would use one that I already have. I certainly wouldn't go out and make a legal purchase of a new gun.
And in Illinois, even if you are trading in a gun you still have to wait. So if I had an AK47, and wanted to trade it in on a .22 revolver, I would have to wait 3 days. That is really dumb.

HA!!! Ive suffered through the wait 15 times... Looking at #16... Just wait until you get to that point... Its still a PITA, but at least you have other toys to play with in the mean time.

Got it at the Royal Loan pawn shop in North Park, brand new for $584 after the DROS and taxes. Cheapest I could find around.

The wait period should only be for the 1st gun. I agree.
