XD 9 ranked 6th
Hey xd community just ran across this site called The Best nines, where they rank 25 9mm and the xd comes at 6th place right behind the Taurus pt92, but did beat Glock which was at 10th place. Just want to strike up a conversation here and see what people's thoughts are on this ranking.
Here's the site: The Best Nines - Best 9mm Pistol Site handgun review test gun dealer auction

Dont forget the price of these 9mm has to be under $550. The list would look a lot different without a price limit

You said it, brother! I teach CCW classes on a regular basis and I have never had a Hi-Point on the line that didn't malfunction. If they had a Top 25 list for paperweights I would highly recommend it.

+1. And while I think the XD belongs on any 'best' list, there are some terrific guns over that particular price point.

I have to disagree with #4 (Beretta 92FS/M-9) and #5 (Taurus 92). They are basically the same gun and the M-9, while dependable at the range, has had many issues in the field in Iraq. Not to mention the fact that if you have smaller hands the M-9 has an uncomfortably large grip and the controls are hard to reach.
I believe the M-9 belongs on the list, just not at #4 with a clone at #5.

more proof that you don't have to know crap about guns to write about them, on the internet or in most gun magazines ... most of those guns wouldn't be on any list I would put together except maybe of things to avoid buying ... the XD is the best gun on the list, at least they got that part right

I agree but if you look you'll see there's like 6 CZ75 clones.
