I have a hard time taking anyone serious about gun knowledge when in their review they speak highly of Tauras. Next this guy will say how great Hi Point firearms are, how the Beretta Tomcat is better than a Seecamp, how stamped AK receivers are better than milled.
I'm surprised he didn't tell us about "clip" capacity in his review.
While there is no denying that Glocks are great firearms, it doesn't mean that any competitor will not live up to the Glock. XD's are every bit as good as Glocks, so at that point it comes down to personal preference.

I strongly agree there, a fair proportion of said "gushing gun writers" are LEO's or Ex-LEO's or have a strong military/weapons training background. That's what makes them authorities on the subject.
When I went shopping for a new handgun system (full size & sub-compact) the XD won out because it is a proven, battle tested design that also receives high praises from experienced handgunning veterans.
I trust my life to the weapon I carry and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.
But whatever, let him chatter on with his Glock in one limp-wristed hand and his love noodle in the other. . . .

I am a Block Hater
Its obvious the guy who wrote the review does not know who actually invented plastic pistols. Personally I think all modern day pistol are a copy of 1911s if we get picky. I tried Blocks but drawing and handling one, my natural POA would be high and right. I have to adjust my grip to hit what I want. Picked up an XD and instantly it pointed natural just like 1911s, so I picked one up and believe its the best combat tupperware on the market, becuase it points naturally like a 1911, everything else aside.
Keep your booger picker off the trigger but many can attest too, bump a Block trigger while holstering or a few other things and they will go pop.
XD, I would say XDs out sell Block maybe 10-1 here, shops routinely have Blocks but as soon as XDs arrive, they are gone and they are having a hard time pushing Blocks, customers are waiting fo XDs. I trade with serveral gun shops and each one of them has their own biases on short guns but everytime I am there, when a customer handles a Block and then an XD, they always take home the XD. Thats pretty much XDs over all tupperware though! That has to do with how the weapon points and aims, nothing else, which is the most important, not the name. On more than one occassion, they salesman tried to persuade them on the Block and they went with what felt right. This has made one prior LE quite mad that he cannot sell his beloved Block.
My couple a cents worth.

It's true XD is a copy of Glock. And a copy of 1911. And a copy of Sig Sauer.
All the best in one gun.

Hmm from the sound of ejection problems he's having my bet is he's limpwristing due to being used to Glock's more oblique grip angle.

No date on the article. Springfield HAVE ironed out some bugs over the years. Interesting that his take is that if it's a copy, then it must be inferior. Hmmm. Lexus anyone?

Fact:
A Gun that fails to eject casings every few magazines = A Bad Gun
Fact:
A man who buys a second gun from that same company = Retarded
So Mr. Christian Gun Guy you are either a liar or retarded...pick one.
I'm guessing the first, but you do use caps lock...ALOT. So I know where my vote is. Maybe that should be a poll?

After reading his review, I decided to sell my gun and buy Glock.
Not.
