Best "Reduce Trigger Travel" Kit for XD-9 Service
I need some opinions on the BEST trigger kit that will reduce the trigger pre-travel.
I know there's the Springer Precision Trigger Kit, Powder River Precision Trigger Kit, and maybe more?!?!?
Which one is the best? Which one will take up more pre-travel?
...and where's the cheapest place to buy one

I haven't used all the ones you've mentioned. But I REALLY like the powder river kit in mine. Order direct from Daniel, ph# on his website.

Best? By whose criteria?
Here's my understanding of the differences between the two above: Springer, more adjustable, but also a lot more expensive. Powder River, not so adjustable (overtravel is, but only in one direction since you're removing material to adjust, and I think if you get the kit with the set screws, pretravel is, but it requires mod to your pistol), but a lot cheaper.
I have the Powder River trigger mod in my XD. I'm very happy with it. But having said that, I've never read anything suggesting people are anything but happy with the Springer kit.
Why'd I choose PRP? Cost, pure and simple.
If you want to see what the result of the mods are for trigger characteristics, you can see before and after in these pics (noting that the overtravel is arbitrary--it's where I decided I liked it and that's where it stays):

The Springer and Powder River ones seem to generate the most buzz. I have the Powder River one in mine and like it a lot because the overtravel stop is basically customizable to what YOU want in your trigger. I've got mine set to 0 overtravel right now, and I may actually increase it slightly...

If you just want pre-travel reduce for cheap, the PRP is the way to go.
Our kit (Springer Precision) does more than just reduce the travel, it fixes issues we've seen time and time over in the stock parts (ie. broken stock trigger bars and a sear gunsmiths can work), thus cost much more.

I really like my PRP kit, but if I could afford it, I would send a second pistol to Scott at Springer.

Thanks for the replies!
I'll go with the PRP Match Target Easy Fit Trigger Kit...

How's PRP reliability? Would you trust it for a carry gun?
If someone wants to simply remove pre-travel, can he install the PRP safety lever only?
