Well, mine don't want move. My gunshop used Meprolight's sight pusher.
It would not budge.
So now what should I do? I want night sight on this thing.
Someone once told me that I should be better off paying for XD with nightsight right from getgo, because of this, and I should have listened..

It's not a big deal. Find a new gunshop. Springfield doesn't even use a sight pusher ...

Several forum sponsors sell and install night sights. I've had 3 set of TFO's installed by James ( Springfield Armory XD and HS-2000.com). He does great work at a fair price.

If you buy the sights from James, just send him your slide and they are installed FREE!!!
If you send him your slide & sights, I think it was $20-25, which included return shipping (but contact James to make sure on the exact price).

Mine had the same problem. I ended up sending it in to Springfield Armory--I told them it was that way when I bought it (it was), and sent it in.
They also replaced the striker retainer pin for me.
Turnaround was pretty quick--they logged it in last Friday, and it's done and ready to ship out Monday.
(Interesting note--it's done, ready to be shipped, but they won't ship them out on Friday because they don't want them sitting in the shipper's warehouse over the weekend. Apparently, it reduces the chance of them walking away over the weekend.)

XD9Sub, thanks for the info. I'll check him out.
If that fails, then I'll send it out to SA

My gunsmith raised his rates due to my XD, but if your gunsmith can't get them out, I'd find someone else. And quit calling them gunsmiths.

Has anyone tried the MGW sight mover? I was thinking of buying one.
