Gun grease/lube better than oil?

I'm looking for a gun grease that would go on my pistol. I wanted to know if using that would be ok for a polymer pistol? I'm tired of oil seaping out of the cracks of the gun (I know I dont over-oil either). In short, what is a good kind of gun grease that can be used as a substitute for oil? and would it be the best option to use a stainless steel grease for a polymer frame?

I use Slide Glide from Brian Enos. It comes in three different viscosities or thicknesses. It works great and makes my XD slide like butter. I like GunButter too, but I like Slide Glide more (GunButter is thinner). Just my opinion.

Slide Glide does for guns what Astro Glide does for your... well... other gun.

I really like the switch I've made to grease over the years. It stays put and doesn't 'evaporate' like oil does. A daily carry or a BUG/pocket gun that gets abused and doesn't get cleaned/lubed every week can benefit from the use of grease. That's why I switched.

I actually use a both grease and oil, but definitely most of the grease on the slide rails (springs get Militec-1 or Kroil). Grease isn't going to hurt your polymer gun at all.

I've been using Wilson Combat grease lately, (because it was on sale), and it's done a great job. Otherwise, I agree with the above post and like GunButter.
A little grease goes a long way (kinda like oil does), so one 'tube' of grease will last you a long, long time.

How do you folks feel about Graphite? I had someone tell me they used it once in their glock, but never had the balls to try it myself.

If you have oil seeping out, you're using too much. I use Rem Oil and don't have any trouble.

Maybe I'm weird, but I have yet to find something that works better for a smooth shave (on the face)...try it, you'll see.

I've always heard that one should use grease for sliding things ... like slide rails, and oil as a protectant and for rotating things.
