I was thinking of having my xd refinished by springfield, not because its rusting I just want something more durable. I figured I would have them install some trijicon night sights too

My question is does anybody have any photos with this finish or experience with their "custom shop"

They refinished mine in Armory Koat a couple of years ago. I like it, it holds up well, no more rust issues and looks good, it is a semi-gloss so to speak. Not exactly a flat black, deff not a gloss.

The Gun-Kote seems do be alot more durable here is the sub in gun-kote the service in armory coat and might as well have Rich do the trigger well it's thier {Best money spent for improvment next was TFO's}

Any how the silver seemed to scratch real easy
