How to find gun shows for an XD!

I've been considering holding out for a gun show. I'm looking at spending almost 600 dollars after tax on my brand new XD at just about any dealer in my area. From what I've heard if I were to attend a gun show I could find a brand new package for 3-400 dollars. any thoughts on how that works? also the main thing here as the topic suggested is how can i find gun shows in Pennsylvania, specifically north east

Depending on the caliber and the style, you probably can pick something up anywhere from the high $300's - to high $500's.

I picked up my XD9SC at a gun show here in Florida in December for $491 after all the taxes and background fees were paid. I could have been out the door for $20 less had I made my mind up quicker.

Now, I'm looking for a bi-tone XD45 which I know will run in the $500's.

As for the gun shows, just google PA gun shows and you should find a company that throws them.

From what I know, although you may be able to find a used XD at a gun show for between 300-400, I don't think you will find an XD new at a gun show for much less than $450 out the door. But I wish you the best of luck and let us know what happens.

I found my XD-9SC at a gunshow here in Chantilly, VA for $475.00. I love it.

gun shows here are a big rip off. The new ones are usually the same price or higher than at retail stores and the used ones are almost as much or as much as new!

Spoon's right.
Years ago you could get two dealers to bargain with you and bring their prices down.
You know, "Well, So & So is selling it for $450 , can you beat his price?".
They would say "Sure how about $425?" or even less sometimes.
Now it is "Then I would go buy it from So & So!!".

Even my gun store doesn't really discount their stuff at the gun shows anymore.
Now I would say you can get a better deal at a gun show than places like Academy or Bass Pro.
But my gun store beats their prices on a daily basis.
And the big retail stores here don't sell ANY compact pistols.
They don't carry or will not order either one of the pistol I own.

I think I paid about $450 for my XD9sc and $612 for my XD45 compact w/ Trijicons.
That is out the door, with a CHL there is no waiting or BG check in Texas.

Just picked up an xd45c from davidsons delivered to a local dealer. It was $540 out the door, not bad around here. Most places start at $550 to $580 then add on taxes and transfer. Mine was $497 plus "crazy eddies" cut(state tax) and transfer fees.

Based on some of the stories I hear on this forum I would never want to go to a gun show in some of your states. Down here, in WPB, there are several dealers that only do the show circuits and have INSANE prices. Most are willing to negotiate and they all have a ton of inventory.

From the posters on this board, Texas seems to have the worst gun show circuit.

I have a feeling you could find a new one cheaper on gunbroker even including having it shipped and transferred and evertyhing. Either way, good luck to you.
