Hows it going everybody. Im in the market for a new pistol since Im turning 21 very soon. I'd like to know the difference in accuracy between the models. Im really interested in the compact, service, and tactical. Maybe even a subcompact. Thanks

As with almost any gun, accuracy will increase with barrel length. I have a xd9 Service and will be ordering a xd9 Sub Compact, I expect my service to be a bit more accurate, but that is the trade off for the smaller size. The sub compact xd is plenty accurate for personal defense.

Don't even think about compact or subcompact. The bigger the better and girls like it. So, my advice, standard or tactical. They both have quite a range and size to swing around.
I have shot my .40 Service and my buddies .40 Tacticool. I can tell you shooting his was a lot more accurate than my Service. I could place my shot sooo much easier. It was pretty much point and shoot with his where mine took a little more effort to place my shot. I can't speak on the SC. I have yet to own/shoot one. I should also note that these shots were taken from about 25 feet.

I have the XD9 SC and the XD45 Tactical. From 25 yards, I am just a little more accurate with the XD45. Not enough to make a difference for me. I carry the XD9 SC because it is much easier for me to conceal.
out of them i own all three in both 9 and 45 and for me i notice a lot of diff from 3in to 5 in the tacticooool give yu a longer sight plain and dont seem to be as affected with trigger pulling left or right?

I would be willing to bet that if you fired a 3", 4" and 5" XD in the same caliber from a machine rest the "accuracy difference" would be nil. That being said, bigger, heavier guns with a longer sight radius are usually easier to shoot well from when you factor in "operator error".
So... The difference in accuracy? None. Which will you shoot better, and how much better will you shoot it? Only first-hand experience with each option will tell you that. Rent them all and see what works for you.
Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.

I agree. The difference in accuracy is more the result of the longer sight plane and higher velocity due to more pressure build up.
