Don't you guys worry about the liability of home modifying your trigger to be lighter? I guess this is meant for you guys that carry CCW/CHL weapons. If you have a home modified or even an aftermarket modification, a prosecutor may say that you were looking for a gunfight.

If they ever find out that it was modified (it doesnt really seem like relevant information after a gunfight).

Additionally, I'd be more worried they'd say that if you carried an extra magazine or special hollow point bullets than a trigger modification. You could easily pass of the trigger modification by saying "I competitively shoot for fun! I just modified the trigger to help me with that."

What are you more worried about, the bad guy trying to harm your family or what "might" happen "if" you ever get in court?

You'd better worry. At least until 9/1/07.

Spoken like a true lawyer, and I'm shaking now that I think about it.

If you look at it that way, a prosecutor could just say that the fact that you were carrying a gun in the first place meant you were looking for a fight. It's ludicrous (but wouldn't surprise me in some jurisdictions). If your going to carry, don't be afraid to carry well.

trigger weight has been used against people before... for a carry gun, in my opinion and many attorney's opinion.. you're best off having an unmodified trigger for a carry gun.

Bullhockey! I'd be a lot more worried about what a prosecutor might have to say about my attendence of a Masaad Ayoob seminar; IDPA;, etc., etc. Take your legal advice from real lawyers, not seminar-givers.
