Are you having to roll your hand around to reach the trigger? I can see how this could lead to your thumb knuckle resting under the "beavertail" (for lack of a better term) thereby causing the gun to rap against the knuckle when it does the little muzzle flip dance. I guess you have small hands being a lady, although I've seen some big hands on the ladies before! As a man, I have rather smaller than normal hands and guns that fit other guys are a handful for me. So, I have learned to grip the gun as comfy as possible and let the trigger finger figure out its own path to the trigger. I have found that adding any "extra" grip material to a handgun to be a disadvantage. Adding more grip is not the answer if your hands are a bit small to begin with. One thing that might help you in this regard is a thumbnail over thumbnail grip. With this grip you can lock your strong (trigger) hand to the gun with the support hand by wrapping two (in this case) support hand fingers around the grip and strong hand fingers and lock down the strong hand thumnail with the pad of the support hand thumb. This should help hold the strong hand thumb knuckle more to the left side of the grip. Wow! I just wrote this and I can barely understand it! Could someone post some pics. please!

Yes, that's right, my hand is kind of rolling around to the trigger. When I'm at the range this weekend, I'll try the "technique" you're describing to see how I do. Thanks!

I just wanted to say that I tried the bike innertube grip trick, and it works great! I have "new" grips on both my XD-45 and my XD-9sc, and it has made a huge difference. Even my husband is sold (he was pretty skeptical when I was telling him what I wanted to do). Thanks!

I'll post pics in a bit but I tried the inner tube thing on my XD 45 and now have it on my SKS pistol grip, my shotgun and my wifes 9mmsc! It works awsome!
