Difference between 40 cal and 9 mm
True or False:
______ In case of defence emergency a killer enters your house you pick up your XD 9mm and shoot him right below the chest. It stung him but he still came charging at you.
_____ In case of defence emergency a killer enters your house you pick up your XD 40cal and shoot him right below the chest. He drops down dead.
Which is the better bullet? Why is it like that?
Thank you

There is no difference between the .40 and the 9mm except about .04 inch and a little bit of energy. Frankly, either one is good with a good hollow point. Both suck with an FMJ. Either way, shot placement will stop someone. There is no magic bullet in defense calibers. Practice will save your ass faster than a debate with bullet caliber. There is a bottom line in defense calibers, and I think the 9mm is it. The answer to both of the questions above is "maybe".

Totally agree. You can hit someone with a .22 and stop him cold if you understand shot placement. You can hit him with a .45 and still have him coming through the door at you if you don't understand it. Practice and a good understanding of WHERE to shoot are the key to success.

If a killer enters my house, I aim for the head. Being that I don't have a room over 15 feet long/wide, a head shot is a non-issue. Stop the threat in its tracks...
