FNG with Magazine question...

I just purchased a new XD 40 V-10 and it blew away my expectations. I studied every manufacturer, every model, every everything for a well over a month until I decided to pull the trigger on the Springfield XD 40 and I couldn't be happier!

2 questions:

1. It came with two 10 round magazines. I know that there are XD 40s that come with 12 round magazines. Will these magazines also fit in my XD 40 V-10 or is there some special reason that mine came with 10 round magazines instead of 12?

2. If the 12 round magazines will fit and function properly, where can I purchase some?
