alright so around christmas time I started having failure to extracts. The empty cases were almost litterally stuck in the chamber. Went through all sorts of crap cleaning the chamber etc and it was still jamming like crazy. Finally had my ammo replaced by the maker. Went fine for a range trip or two. It came back... So I've gone through all the cleaning stuff again. Finally this weekend decided my mags were to blaim. So I hammered them back into shape. Went to the range today....jam-o-matic! So I'm pissed! This has been almost 9 months of screwing around. So I stormed out of the range purchased a new mag and went back to shooting...jam on round two!!!!! So now I'm really pissed and grab a box of way over priced magtech....nothing. Every round but one fired perfectly. Had one not fully chamber but after racking the slide and putting it back in the mag it didn't have a problem.
So what is causing this!? I'm fairly sure at this point I have to eat a giant crap sandwich and say its the ammo...the ammo I always defend and has been replaced by the maker. I'm a little afraid with the one round failing to chamber correctly that I could have an issue with the gun...such as a scar on the chamber. But I messed with the mags so that could have led to the feed problem...and the other ammo did run almost 99% for the whole 30 rounds I shot.
Man it is frustrating to have a gun you can't trust!!!! I don't think my SKS or milsurps would make good nightstand guns either.
On the other hand I love the little P3AT. I could easily keep them in the "head" of the target at 10 yards today. I think this little thing is really going to grow on me. It ran flawless again. So over 100 rounds without a hickup and only the initial cleaning. Until I get my CCW I'm going to run it as hard as I can to see where it starts to get cranky.

At the risk of being obvious, why not contact SA and see what they can do. Yes, you will be without your gun for a while if you send it in, but since it's not working right, you probably aren't depending on it for defense at this point anyway, right.
Who knows, maybe they will replace your gun with a full custom Operator or TRP at no cost to you for your trouble. I'm joking of course, but maybe they can figure it out before you throw it away.

its the ammo that everyone on the planet will go "oh thats why" IE Wolf.
I was thinking I'd send it to springfield today. However I assumed I'd end up paying shipping and as soon as they found out what ammo they would do the "oh thats why..and your warrenty is void".
The first 1K rounds of wolf was totaly flawless. I'd guess maybe one to two FTE or FTF at most. Since then Its been a total PITA.

uhh...dunno? I'll probably give it a good cleaning sometime this week. I'll check the chamber and extractor.
I don't know if it voids it. I was just going on the general feeling about wolf.

It won't. It would need to be a lot more than shooting wolf ammo. I have a friend that shot wolf through his Glock and broke extractors all the time. Glock just sent a new extractor.
